We're looking for warm, patient people who can hold a real conversation — in Hebrew, Russian or English — with someone who has a great deal to say and not enough people to say it to.
The application takes about 20 minutes, and you can finish it later on any device.
What the work is
Scheduled video calls with the same few people every week, from wherever you are. Not caregiving, not errands — conversation.
- Video calls of 30 to 60 minutes, from your own home
- The same few people each week, so you actually get to know them
- A short briefing before every call: what they love, what happened last time, what to avoid
- You choose your hours, and you accept or decline every match
Pay, in the open
You keep 65% of the price of every call, paid out weekly. The rate for your market is published — there's no bidding and no negotiating down.
- Around $21.50 per hour of calls in the United States
- Around ₪55 per hour of calls in Israel
- Paid weekly, with a statement you can download
- Introduction calls are paid at half rate; your first five calls are paid in full
- Figures are illustrative for the pilot and will be confirmed before you're approved
Who tends to be good at this
Students of social work, gerontology and psychology; actors; new parents; people who've recently retired. What they have in common isn't a CV.
- You listen more than you talk
- You're reliable — if you said four o'clock, you're there at four o'clock
- You hold a boundary kindly, without making it awkward
- You speak the language of the person you'd be calling, natively or close to it
- You're genuinely curious about a life that started long before yours
How you get approved
It's a real process and it takes a little under two weeks in the United States, a little longer in Israel. We'd rather tell you that up front.
You'd be an independent contractor
You set your own availability, you accept or decline every match, there's no exclusivity, and the rate for your market is published up front. Training covers safety and how the platform works — never a script for your conversations.
